Not ready to travel solo?

Are you ready to travel but timid to go solo?
Are you tired of trying to convince friends to travel with you?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions here is some assistance.

I love to travel solo, but the odd time when I did not feel like traveling alone I found people with similar interest at TravelChums.com. At this website I made new travel friends and enjoyed memorable travel experiences.

TravelChums.com is just one of many websites where you can find travel companions with similar personalities, situations, interest, or special interest (e.g. golf, bird watching, mountain climbing, etc.). Even budget minded people like you and some folks who share the same travel plans, enthusiasm and experiences.

One of the things I really like about TravelChums.com is the travel questionnaire. The questionnaire allows you and your chosen chum to “clarify your attitudes and preferences” before arranging all those travel plans. It is recommended that you both complete the forms independently and then discuss any issues on which you disagree. Hopefully, this discussion should help you to come to a compromise on these differences. If you are planning a long travel, it is suggested that you take an overnight or weekend trip together before beginning plans on that longer trip.

I am a big fan of SAFETY, therefore before you run off to find travel networking websites let’s review meeting people online. When meeting someone for the first time, meet in a public place (e.g. coffee shop). Do not change locations on the first meeting. Follow the same safety measures as you would on a blind date. If anything feels wrong exit gracefully.

You can register with one or a few different travel websites and begin networking with like-minded people.

Next post - listing of more websites where you can find travel companions.

Happy Travels
